What we collect

Depending on how you use Kora, we may collect:

• Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, and account login details.
• Family and profile information, such as household member names, photos, preferences, colors, and profile settings you choose to provide.
• Content you provide, such as calendars, tasks, reminders, chores, lists, meals, notes, and other information you add to the Services.
• Connected service data, such as information from integrations you explicitly enable. This may include Google account information, Google Calendar events, and Gmail content, as described in Google user data. It may also include calendar feeds you paste from Apple Calendar, TeamSnap, or other ICS sources.
• Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app or browser version, pages or screens viewed, and diagnostic logs used for reliability and security.
• Support communications, such as messages you send to our support team.
• Order information, such as order status and fulfillment information for hardware purchases.

We do not collect precise geolocation data through the Services.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, operate, and sync the Services across the app and optional home display.
• Authenticate users and secure accounts.
• Enable family organization features such as calendars, tasks, reminders, chores, routines, meals, lists, and household coordination.
• Surface relevant events, deadlines, conflicts, and suggested next steps, including from connected services you authorize.
• Power AI-assisted features such as summaries, reminders, task suggestions, and calendar-related help.
• Provide customer support and respond to requests.
• Improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Measure website traffic and marketing performance, as described below.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect our users, business, and platform.

Google user data

Connecting a Google account is optional. If you choose to connect your Google account, Kora may access Google account information and services that you explicitly authorize, such as Google Sign-In, Google Calendar, and Gmail.

What Google data we access

• Google account information needed to authenticate you and keep the connection working, such as your Google account identifier and basic profile details you permit during sign-in.
• Google Calendar data, including calendars you select and their events, so Kora can show a shared family schedule, surface conflicts, and keep the week in one view.
• Gmail data, if you authorize Gmail access. Kora may read email content to identify information relevant to family organization, such as appointments, school notices, activity schedules, registrations, deadlines, deliveries, and other time-sensitive information.

How we use Google user data

Kora uses this data only to provide features requested by the user, such as summaries, reminders, tasks, and calendar-related suggestions. For Gmail, that means extracting and organizing family-relevant details so they can appear in Kora as events, reminders, tasks, or summaries. We do not use Google user data for any other purpose.

When you use AI-assisted features, relevant content (which may include authorized calendar events, tasks, and email content) may be sent to our AI service providers so they can generate the requested summary, reminder, task, or suggestion. Those providers process the data on our behalf to operate the feature you asked for.

How we store Google user data

We store and process Google user data only as necessary to provide the Service. That may include storing OAuth tokens so the connection can stay signed in, storing synced calendar events, and storing extracted family-organization items (such as a suggested event, reminder, or task) so they remain available in your household account. We apply technical and organizational safeguards described in Security.

How we share Google user data

Kora does not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, including personalized, retargeting, or interest-based advertising. We do not share Google user data with third-party advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

We share Google user data only with service providers that help us operate the requested feature (for example, cloud infrastructure and AI processing providers), and only as needed to provide the Services. Access is limited to the permissions you authorize.

Limited Use

Kora's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting Google access

You may disconnect your Google account from Kora at any time in the app. You can also revoke Kora's access directly in your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After you disconnect or revoke access, Kora will stop requesting new Google data through that connection. You can also request deletion of stored Google-derived data by contacting us or using our account deletion page.

How we store information

We store personal information on cloud infrastructure operated by our service providers. Information associated with your household account (such as profiles, calendars, tasks, reminders, and connected-service data needed to keep the family view current) is stored so it can sync across the mobile app and any paired display.

We retain stored information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

Retention and deletion

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to:

• Provide the Services you requested.
• Maintain the security and integrity of the platform.
• Comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

When you disconnect a third-party integration, we stop collecting new data from that integration. When you request account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account, except information we must retain for a limited period where required by law (for example, transaction records).

You can request account closure or deletion by contacting support or using our account deletion page.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

We share personal information only when necessary to provide and operate the Services, such as with:

• Core infrastructure providers that host, store, or secure our systems.
• AI service providers that process content on our behalf to power LLM-based features (for example, summaries, reminders, and suggested tasks). This may include authorized Google Calendar or Gmail content when those features depend on it.
• Connected services you choose, such as Google or other calendar providers you explicitly link.
• Commerce or payment providers used to process hardware orders and related transactions.
• Analytics and marketing providers used on our website, as described in Website analytics and cookies. These providers do not receive Google user data obtained through Google APIs.
• Professional advisors or authorities when required by law or for legal or safety reasons.

We do not share Google user data with third-party ad networks. Website advertising and analytics tools described below operate on our public website and are separate from Google API data.

Security

We apply technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including Google user data. These include access controls, encryption in transit, restricted employee access on a need-to-know basis, and use of reputable cloud and AI providers that process data on our behalf.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include notifying you and relevant authorities.

Mobile app and hardware experiences

Kora Home AI is available both as a standalone iOS and Android app and as a hardware-supported experience. The same account may be used across experiences where supported.

Data needed to sync calendars, tasks, and household context may be used across these experiences to keep your family information consistent.

Website analytics and cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to understand traffic, measure marketing performance, and support email signup. These tools may collect device and usage information such as pages viewed, referral source, and approximate location derived from IP address.

This website measurement is separate from Google Calendar and Gmail data. We do not send Google user data obtained through Google APIs to advertising or analytics pixels.

Future features

Some capabilities described in product materials may be planned for future release. If a future feature requires additional personal information or a materially different use of data, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice as required by law before that change applies.

Children and family accounts

Kora is designed for families and may be used by children under parent or guardian supervision. Parent or guardian account holders are responsible for setup, permissions, and supervision, including any connected services such as Google Calendar or Gmail.

Children under 13 may not create standalone accounts unless permitted by applicable law and completed with required parental consent. If you believe child information was provided in a way that does not comply with law, contact us at support@korahome.ai.

International processing

We are headquartered in Canada and may use service providers in other countries. As a result, your personal information may be processed outside your province or country, including in jurisdictions with different privacy laws.

Your choices

• You can update certain account information in your account settings.
• You can disconnect supported third-party integrations, including Google Calendar and Gmail, in the Kora app.
• You can revoke Kora's Google access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• You can opt out of marketing emails using unsubscribe links.
• You can request account closure or deletion by contacting support or using our account deletion page.
